İstanbul’daki değişik fuar alanlarında aynı tarihlerde, aynı konu ve içerikle fuarlar düzenlenmesinin yarattığı ortama dikkat çeken Avdagiç, UFYD ile İTO’nun ortak ça- lışması ve Türkiye Odalar ve Borsalar Birliğini’nin (TOBB) desteğiyle bu ko- nuda düzenleme yapılması için Ticaret Bakanlığı nezdinde girişimlerde bulu- nacaklarını belirtti. İstanbul Dünya Ti- caret Merkezi (İDTM) Başkanı Şekip Avdagiç, İstanbul’un ve Türkiye’nin Fuar Organizasyonları çıtasını yukarıya çekmek için çalıştıklarını dile getirdi. Avrupa ülkelerinin Afrika, Ortadoğu ve Türki Cumhuriyeti vatandaşlarına vize kolaylığı sağlamadığını, Türkiye’nin konjonktürel avantajını kullanmasını ve bu ülkeler için Türkiye Fuar Organi- zasyonlarının öne çıkarılmasını önem- sediklerini belirtti. İDTM mülkiyetin- deki alanlara ek olarak yeni alanlar için çalışma ve görüşmelerin devam ettiğini dile getirdi. İDTM Başkanı Şekip Avdagiç, UFYD’nin rakip işletmeleri bir araya getirerek nitelikli bir birliktelik sağladığını, sektörde çok önemli bir boşluğu doldurduğunu, sürecin her aşamasında İDTM Yönetimi ve şahsı olarak UFYD’nin yanında bulunacağını belirte- rek Dernek Yönetim Kurulumuza teşekkür etti. İstanbul Ticaret Odası (İTO) Başkanı ve İDTM Başkanı Sayın Şekib Avdagiç, Uluslararası Fuar Yapımcıları Derneği (UFYD) üyeleriyle gerçekleştirdiği Zoom toplantısında salon- ların bu yılın üçüncü çeyre- ğinde İDTM’nin kontrolüne gireceğini söyledi.
