29 Haber www.ufyd.org Zübeyde Kavraz: Eğitim Kurslarına Başlayacağız UFYD Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Zübeyde Kavraz da Dernek olarak gündemlerinde kursların olduğunu, bu kurslara başlayıp daha sonra İTO Yönetimi ile bu konuyu genişçe değerlendirme- nin daha doğru olacağı kaydetti. Bunun üzerine tekrar söz alan İTO Başkanı Şekip Agdaviç, İs- tanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi’nde Hayat Boyu Öğrenme Merke- zi’nin görevinin sektörden gelen talepleri değerlendirerek uygun eğitimleri vermek olduğunu, sektördeki insanların ve akademis- yenlerin görev yaptığını, buna bağlı olarak üniversitenin imkan- larından UFYD’nin memnuniyetle istifade etme imkanı oldu- ğunu belirtti. Ayrıca İDTM’nin binaları içinde 9. ve 10. hol ün üst katlarındaki eğitim salonlarında, İDTM Yönetim Kuruluyla görüştükten sonra UFYD’nin eğitimlerini burada yapabileceğini düşündüğünü belirtti. UFYD Yönetim Kurulu Başkan Yardımcısı sayın Mahmut Er’in Dernek olarak yaz dönemi için İDTM’nin de katkılarıyla sek- törün gerek İstanbul gerek Türkiye’deki paydaşlarını bir araya getirebileceği bir çalıştay ya da forum planladığını, ancak bu COVID-19 sebebiyle ertelemek zorunda kalındığını, sonbahar- da uygun görülecek zamanda faaliyete geçirmek istendiğini be- lirterek İTO’nun da katkılarını talep etti. İTO Başkanı Agdaviç de sıkıntılı sürecin geçmesiyle tüm arka- daşlarıyla beraber gerekli katkıyı vereceğini belirtti. Toplantıya katılan üyelerimizden gelen sorular ve İTO Başkanı Sayın Şekip Avdagiç’in verdiği cevaplar şöyle: İTO’nun İstanbul fuarlarının kent ekonomisine katkısına ilişkin bir çalışması/raporu var mı? İstanbul Kongre ve Turizm Bürosu üzerinden İstanbul’da yapılan tüm kongre fuar ve bu şekildeki etkinliklerin kent ekonomisine katkısının ölçülmeye çalışıldığı, şu anda kümülatif bir çalışmanın mevcut olmadığının, parça parça yapılan bazı çalışmalar olduğu bilgisini verdi. Burada 3 ayrı grubun incelendiği, 1-Kruvaziyer gibi nitelikli turizm üst gelir grubundaki turistler, 2-Kongre tu- rizmi 3-Fuarlar ve fuarlarla ilgili şehre gelenlerin verdiği katkı. Fuarlar tekrar açıldığında hijyen tedbirleri noktasında bele- diyemiz İTO’nun bir çalışması var mı? Hijyen konusunda kademe kademe gidiliyor. Turizm Bakanlığı bu konuda bazı kısıtlar koydu. Biraz fuar merkezlerinin ne yap- tığına ve kamu otoritesinin kurallarına bakılacak. Türkiye’nin sağlık alanındaki başarısının nitelikli bir hijyen paketiyle birleş- tirilerek insanların Türkiye’ye gelebilecekleri konusunda motive edilmesi gerekiyor. Zübeyde Kavraz: WeWill Start The Training Courses UFYD Chairman Zübeyde Kavraz stated that they as an association have courses on their agenda and it would be better to start these cours- es and then evaluate this issue extensively with ITOManagement. Holding floor again after this comment, İTO President Şekip Agda- vic stated that the task of the Lifelong Learning Center at Istanbul Ticaret University is to evaluate the demands coming from the sector and provide appropriate training, that the people in the sector and academicians do work, and UFYD is free to benefit from the op- portunities of the university. He also stated that he thought that after discussing with the İDTM Board of Directors, UFYD will be able to do their training in the training halls on the upper floors of the 9th and 10th halls within the buildings of İDTM. UFYD Vice-Chairman Mahmut Er stated that they, as the associa- tion, had been planning a workshop or o forum bringing together the stakeholders both in Istanbul and in Turkey with the contributions of IDTM but said that this plan had to be postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He said that the project is planned to be put into operation at a date within the fall that would be deemed appro- priate and he requested ITO to make a contribution in this regard. İTO President Agdaviç stated that he will make the necessary contri- bution with all his friends following the troublesome process. The questions from our members who attended the meeting and the responses given by İTO Chairman Mr. Şekip Avdagiç are as follows: Does ITO have a study/report on the contribution of Istanbul fairs to the economy of the city? He informed us that the contribution of all congresses, fairs and such events to the economy of the city is being measured by the Istanbul Congress and Tourism Bureau and that there is no cumulative work at present, there are some individual pieces of work done. Here, 3 different groups are examined, 1-Tourists in the high-income group for qualified tourism such as cruise line, 2-Congress tourism, 3-The contribution of those coming to the city directly or indirectly for fairs. When the fairs reopen, are our municipality and ITO making studies in terms of hygiene measures? There is gradual progress on hygiene. The Ministry of Tourism has put some restrictions on this issue. What the fair centers are doing and the rules of the public authority will be observe to some extent. Turkey’s success in the health field should be combined with a su- perior hygiene package and people should be motivated to come to Turkey.
